My son got GTA V for his 13th birthday from an uncle. The clerk didn't ask for ID. Now we're worried about the PEGI 18 rating, can we get fined or reported for letting him play? What does the law actually say?
In Norway, the age limit on games like GTA V is a recommendation from PEGI, not a law. It's guidance for parents, not a ban. No police officer will fine you, and no one can report you for letting your son play.
The store selling it to the uncle is the only one who might break rules, and even then, it's a store policy issue, not criminal. The real risk is content, not legal trouble. Your job is to decide if he's mature enough.
